ABOUT TARA
Ever since Tara S.
Nichols was a little girl, she has had an affinity for romantic
adventures. With crushes on the likes of Tarzan and Hans Solo,
she grew up looking for the perfect gentleman rogue. Her stories
tend to draw on her appreciation for the great outdoors,
whether it be a raunchy threesome stranded while camping, an
urban soap star meeting her country boy neighbor, or a
distracted pack of thieves. She has a thing for rough and tumble
cowboys as well as space pirates, such as Han Solo, and hard
bodied heroines such as Lara Croft. She has a playful sense of
humor which is reflected in almost everything she does and
writes.
When she is not writing about romance, she can be found
tending her garden, keeping bees, or reading a spy novel. Tara
roams free on the flat prairie land in Manitoba, Canada where
she lives with her young son and husband.
INTERVIEW
Q: What is your writing day like?
A: LOL. Right now I'm at the mercy of a three-year-old's
schedule and whims, the supply and demand of a small home
business and my part time time position at a local bookstore. I
fit my writing around these three schedules, and surprisingly,
it works. I try to catch ideas on the fly, jotting them down on
scraps of paper, which I put into the computer late at night, or
print off sheets of material to be edited on my lunch hour. I
take time to blog and chit chat and I have also recently started
teaching myself cover art design.
Q: What is your favorite part of the
writing process? A: I love the
initial idea or the unraveling of an idea, where a chunk of a
novel will come to me and I have to scurry to catch it all. I
also love it when an idea comes together, where that one part
that was not making sense before suddenly fits and it all comes
together. Then again, having ones manuscript accepted is pretty
hard to beat too. Q: What is your favorite
sub genre of romance? A: I really love
multiple partner/ménage a (pick your grouping) as well as
western and suspense. Q: What can we expect
from you in the future? A: A wide variety
actually. I write in many different genres. I have half
completed young adult, sci-fi, paranormal, western, and fantasy
stories waiting to be finished. Q: Who is
your ideal man? A: Well my husband is
mighty fine, but Matthew McConaughey is right up there closely
followed by Hugh Jackman, especially in character as Wolverine.
Mmm mmm. Q: Do you have any fetishes?
A: Nylons, sex out doors, and I suppose multiple partners. Now,
throw them all together and my head might explode.
Q: Name some of your favorite characters.
A: Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, Tank Girl, Marvin the Martian,
Tarzan, Hans Solo, and Wolverine. |
