Lyres, RoRR Recommended Read: "This talented team of
sisters has come up with a paranormal
romance that is truly out of the ordinary.
The combination of fantasy and paranormal
characters blend into a riveting series of
suspenseful events that keep you asking
who the bad guys really are. The sex is
plentiful, varied, and always hot. The
primal nature of the Unicorn's mating
reminds us of their legendary history. The
Fallen angels combine beauty with intense
sensuality and few inhibitions. Every
carefully crafted sexual scene adds to the
story, keeping us involved with the
characters as their story unfolds in vivid
detail. Illori and Karsten are wonderful
as a hero and heroine trying to find love
and save their race, a magical race humans
have always regarded as beautiful and
pure. The plot separates them for a time,
but we can feel them yearn for each other
in a wonderfully romantic way. The Soft
Edge of Midnight is an intriguing and
wonderfully written story that keeps the
reader guessing until the very end." —Ann

9.5 Rating: "We join the
supposedly last Unicorn on Earth shortly
after she escapes from the Fallen Belial
that was sent back to Hell. Illori goes
back to where her home was long ago and
decides that she is going to tell her
families descendants about their lineage
[before she] dies. Well, Unicorns are
considered to be lucky, and...for the
first time since she left the Glimmer, she
finds a male Unicorn [Karsten]...However,
before they can truly mate, their
happiness suddenly takes a turn for the
worst when another Fallen breaks into
Illori’s apartment and decrees that
Lucifer wants her dead. Suddenly, the new
couple is on the run from the Fallen of
Hell, and luck doesn’t exactly seem to be
on their side for quite awhile.
Regardless, the book continues on at a
fast and exciting pace. They meet along
the way several different beings,
including Fey, Angels, and human
Witches...There is action, romance, lots
of sex, and more. However, The Soft
Edge of Midnight was also a different
look at many things. Atheists often say
that the reason why Christians never get
what they pray for/want is because if
there is a God [and] that he doesn’t care
about us anymore. This book touches on
this subject in many ways that might
offend some Christians. It is a great
book, however, but it probably should be
read with an open mind if you are of the
Christian faith." —Howling Scribe
4.5 Hearts:
Once again these authors took me on an
epic journey filled with suspense, hot
sex, fantastical beings, more hot sex and
mystery. Illori and Karsten meet early in
the book but their journey home to
Glimmer, if they can get there, is fraught
with roadblocks, pitfalls, and downright
evil creatures who don’t want to see them
succeed. They do make some friends along
the way that may be able to help them, but
only as long as it’s in their own
interests to do so. Evil forces want to
see the Unicorns dead; others want to see
them succeed. I was swept along for this
very enjoyable ride to the very end. —Night

4.5 Stars: "Using their own
unique, incredible, and fertile
imagination, Stella and Audra Price have
penned another tale, The Soft Edge of
Midnight, set in their Eververse
world. This is a delightful book in which
to immerse yourself. Karsten is a strong
talking man and used to taking control. He
never dreamed he would find his mate.
Illori had spent years in captivity and is
still recovering, but still has a lot of
spunk left in her. The secondary
characters really contribute to the wonder
of this tale. Sammael, for all his
shortcomings, still manages to work his
way into our hearts. Stella and Audra
Price have penned another winner with
The Soft Edge of Midnight. Pick this
one up and prepare to be delighted and
entranced." —Elise Lyn, Ecataromance
4 Cups: "I loved the beautiful
romance that stirred between Illori and
Karsten. I could really sense the strong
love that Karsten emitted for Illori. She
is powerful in her actions making The
Soft Edge of Midnight a fantastic
read. With a hot witch, a Fey and some
devils thrown into the picture to make the
read even more intriguing; Stella and
Audra Price create a sizzling fast-paced
story that is very enchanting." —Cherokee,

4 Stars: "A stud is a stud no
matter what his real form. Karsten is all
male and his Unicorn tendencies of being
overly protective of his female and his
desire to keep her from all harm make him
the ultimate in Alpha males. Illori is no
slouch herself. Escaping from a demon
lord, fighting to protect herself and her
mate so that they don’t end up back in
hell, and she knows what she desires most
in life. The two together are so hot there
is steam rising off the pages. They are
witty, smart and the authors have done an
excellent job having them play off each
other. The supporting characters are also
well developed and I can’t wait for what
must be spin off stories of Sammael, who
plays both sides of Heaven and Hell, and
Gabriel (yes the angel), whose only charge
is to keep Sammael out of falling onto
Hell’s side completely. The two of them
make for perfect sparring partners for
each other and great foils to Karsten and
Illori. The story is fast paced and keeps
the reader active and enjoying every word.
The sex for all involved is hot and heavy
and with a little bondage thrown in by
Sammael for the good of the order.
Definitely a recommended read." —Brigit

4 Moons:
"The Soft Edge of Midnight is an enjoyable,
erotic, paranormal romance which takes place in a unique world and contains
intriguing characters. The world of this book is filled with the fallen, angels,
and beings from the glimmer, who were trapped on the human side and most of the
characters can't be pigeon-holed into good or evil categories. Illora and Karstan are two lonely souls who find each
other, but their path to happiness is fraught with obstacles. While Illora and
Karstan are good characters, my favorite character is Sam, the reluctant hero. I
really hope to see Sammuel's story soon! All in all, The Soft Edge of Midnight is an
entertaining read, which I recommend."
—Marlene Breakfield, Mystique Books
"The
Soft Edge of Midnight is one of the first unicorn shape-shifter stories I
have read. Unicorns are known for having a huge amount of luck, but I found that
Illori and Karsten had Lady Luck playing a here "now and gone again" game with
them. Illori finally begins to believe that luck has come back to her by leading
her to the last remaining male unicorn on this plane and Karsten just knows that
he is going to do his best to mate immediately with Illori. There was no way I
could not grow to love both Illori and Karsten as they fought to have their
future together. I have come to know that nothing in the Price sisters' books
comes easy and their mating was coming too easy, so I was not surprised when not
only did they have a problem, but huge problems with one of Hell’s hunters and
another minion. The Soft Edge of Midnight is a softer and a more romantic
book than I have come to expect, but it still held that edge of violence and a
mixture of characters I have come to expect and love. If you have not
experienced any of the world that the Price sisters have created and are unsure,
I believe this is a great place to start."
