ABOUT STACEY
Stacey Espino resides in beautiful Ontario, Canada where she
is busy raising her five school-aged children. She loves being a
Canadian but could do without the brutal winters.
When she’s not escaping into the romantic settings she
creates on her laptop, she’s reading one of the many books
threatening to overtake her bedroom.
With a passion for the paranormal, she wrote Fearless
Desires, the first Siren-BookStrand novel in her Immortal
Love series.
INTERVIEW
Q: Why did you become a writer?
A: Writing is just as much an escape for me as reading and
nothing makes me happier.
I’ve loved writing ever since I was a kid. It’s always been
easier for me to express my emotions on paper. Now, I enjoy
exploring the inner workings of my characters as they try to
attain their happily ever after.
Q: Where do you get your ideas?
A: My ideas come from everywhere. I find I’m most creative
when I’m in bed about to fall asleep at night, which can get
very annoying. Keeping a notepad by the bed helps. Conflicts
spark most of my ideas and I develop a story around that.
Q: What genres do you enjoy reading?
A: I love to read the type of books that I write. What better
way to satisfy a craving, than to create it yourself. Paranormal
romance is currently one of my favorite genres, but any type of
romance will do. I’m also a big Young Adult reader, whether
contemporary or paranormal.
Q: Do you outline?
A: Nope. I’m guilty of not outlining. Usually I just mull
over the idea in my head until it takes enough shape to start
putting it on paper. I do keep notes (my memory isn’t the
greatest). It’s amazing how the story just pulls me along and I
truly don’t know where it will lead me as I’m writing. I never
know my endings until I get there.
Q: When do you find time to write?
A: Well, with five kids vying for my attention, it can be a
challenge. Between kids, housework, cooking, shopping and
editing, I still manage to find time to write.
Q: Do you connect with your characters?
A: Yes! It freaks me out that they don’t really exist because
they become so real to me. Sometimes I giggle to myself as I
edit because I can’t believe what the characters did or said.
They really take on a life of their own.
Q: What can we expect from you next?
A: Fearless Desires is only the first book in the Immortal
Love series. Each book will focus on the romance of two
different characters within the same framework of previous
books. They are stand alone novels but best read in order.
