     Melodee Aaron has managed to produce a book that is very educational as well as highly entertaining. The romance scenes whether f/m, m/m or m/m/f have all been delicately and tastefully done although because of the nature of the book some readers may find the scenes uncomfortable. I thought this book was excellent and I would recommend to anyone who is looking for an erotic book with a difference or for anyone who is looking for an erotic science fiction novel. Likeable and compelling characters take the reader along with them as they discover what it means to be in love. The romance will touch the heart from the moment they first start to realize how the feel and the worries over being rejected for another lover. Laughter to tears, readers can expect to experience a full range of emotions as this story progresses. It may seem obvious to the reader what should happen with the three characters but the relationship is shown from all angles and demonstrates beautifully the depth of the emotions involved in making such a decision.      Of course, when not trying to decide Allison’s love life, the rest of their world is involved in a war. Here again readers will experience the worry of love ones gone to war and the pain of missions that go wrong. 4.5 Stars/Orgasmic: "If you are looking for a futuristic novel that focuses on relationships and exceptional sex, The Polyamorous Princess is a one stop shop for it all. The setting of His Majesty's Starship Boone, previously introduced in Ms Aaron's Ike Payne Adventure series, sets the tone for a joyful love affair with Allison and Damon, and then the introduction of Harry into the mix. Although this lengthy novel has a great deal of plot, the bond between Allison and her men sets this novel into motion. What I found particularly interesting is that this isn't just a story about Allison and the two men she falls in love with, but this is also a story about how deeply in love Damon and Harry are with her. I found every aspect of their connection believable and highly provocative. Harry is intelligent, almost to a fault, and extremely bold, with a sense of entitlement for Allison's love. Damon is more romantic and is the quintessential marine, strong with a powerful personality. To top it all off, Allison is a bit of a princess, in some ways very self-assured but in others, a bit spoiled. I loved even these negative aspects of her personality. Sexually, Allison knocks the socks off in a carnal explosion. There were several unusual sex scenes, including some surprisingly fiery settings that left me quaking for more. As a warning, there are scenes in which Damon and Harry express love for one another, but this only supports their friendly pursuit of Allison. 4 Stars/Orgasmic: "Marine Sergeant Ike Payne worked hard to earn her stripes. Now she will have to work even harder to keep them. Someone attempted murder on her ship and Ike must find the culprit out of 24,000 suspects. A partner might help her solve the case, and that was what she got in the form of Lieutenant Devon Henson. Whom was Ike kidding? Devon was so much more than a sounding board for her many hypothesis. He was candy for her eyes and temptation to her body. 
     Devon never expected his new partner was a gorgeous example of womanhood. They had a terrorist to find, not a comfortable bed. Devon did not know if he was up for the search; he was too busy looking at Ike.
     There is nothing like an adventurous, action-packed story told from a woman’s point of view. An Ike Payne Adventure: For the Love of Payne is filled with wonderful characters, but Ike is the one who had me enthralled and kept me turning the pages. Ike is perfect. She has a sense of duty, but is not hard nosed, as one might assume. There is a sensitive side to her that caused me to relate to her position as a marine sergeant and her desire to be a sensual woman. Ike is very aware of her sexuality. That made the sex in this novel outrageous and a turn on. Devon is interesting enough with his often clumsy behavior. That characteristic endeared him to me and made me wait on Ike to help him put everything back to right. When I first thought of a hero for Ike, Devon did not come to mind, but that is what makes him so special. He is different and therefore appealing. She is a woman at the top in a masculine field and has never felt the urge or need to be feminine. Although Devon is just as attracted to Ike as she is to him, once she allows her “Ikira” side to emerge, things just get better and better. Their sexual escapades are unbelievably hot, so be prepared! 4.5 Stars/Hot: "Life changed for Ike Payne in many ways. She acquired a husband whom she is very much in love with and a new job as Marine General of His Majesty's Starship Boone. As happy as she was, they still had their fair share of troubles. Even after a year, Devon's memory problems had not improved. As a matter of fact, they were getting worse. However, the couple was determined to see the bright side of things and keep going. Then the ship they shared with Miranda and Jack crashed in the middle of nowhere. Now, the four of them struggle to survive the dangers that surround them in an unknown land.
     What can I say; Melodee Aaron produced another best seller. An Ike Payne Adventure 2: Desert Heat was even better than the first installment. The original story introduced me to Ike and Devon, while the follow up novel carried me on a journey with the couple and brought Miranda and Sergeant Jack Ingram into the fold. I am guilty of loving sequels that follow a lead character over a period. Sue me. I had the pleasure of knowing Devon as he became more comfortable with himself. He was a different man, more self-assured and assertive. In my humble opinion, it showed in his lovemaking. Between Ike and Devon it was a constant battle of who desired the other more. Their active sex life caused me a very restless night. However, Desert Heat lacked some of the extra debauchery that For the Love of Payne possessed. I have confidence that things will heat back up [in] the next installment. Ike was just enjoying time with her husband and it was a pleasure to experience married life through her eyes. Even the sub-characters were interesting. They added something new, and vivacious to the tale. I'm so excited.
