The Letter
Jared Warren is a wealthy duke, a peer of the realm, and he cannot have
his young wife recklessly embarking on one escapade after another--no matter
how charming or passionate she might be. However, trying to rein in his
beautiful bride proves to be both a challenge...and a pleasure.
Patricia is madly in love with her handsome, autocratic husband, but
somehow can't seem to stay in his good graces. Behind closed doors they find
erotic fulfillment in each other's arms and Jared is a wonderful, inventive
lover, but he is also a stickler for propriety in all other situations...
Compromising Situations
Andrew Carlton is a seasoned rake trapped into an untenable position, and
sparks fly when he is forced to marry Christa Hatton, the very prim daughter
of a duke. Who plotted so they would be found together is a mystery, but
someone has it in for one of them.
However, to his dismay, Andrew finds his bride is not exactly the shy
debutante he expected but is instead stubborn, moody, and has a "shell."
Used to women falling into his arms, Andrew isn't sure exactly how to deal
with his innocent, headstrong bride.
Even if the arrangement isn't of her choice, Christa finds that being
pressured into marriage with a man of Carlton's reputation has some
benefits. For one thing, he certainly knows what to do in the bedroom. The
question is will he make a good husband, and more than that, why were they
lured into a compromising situation in the first place?
A Woman Seduced
Viscount Cheviot is a notorious rogue, reputed to be an incomparable
lover, and when Shannon Cates sneaks into his bedroom to retrieve her
beloved father's watch, the last thing she expects is to spend an erotic
night in the arms of the legendary lord. Yielding to temptation when faced
with the seductive Devlin Moore, she is swept into a storm of passion that
rivals her most exceptional and shocking fantasies.
Beguiled by the force of the pleasure he shared with the mysterious young
lady he had mistaken for a common prostitute, Devlin seeks to find her real
identity, amazed when she turns out to be an icy widow of reputed unshakable
virtue. Knowing her secret capacity for unbridled pleasure, he seeks to
tempt her by promising wicked excess and complete sexual license, sweeping
her into a tumultuous love affair that can only end in disaster…

5 Flags:
"Emma Wildes has once again penned a
vibrant Regency story. Each word appears
to be carefully chosen to develop the
characters of this story as well as the
atmosphere of the time period. Patricia’s
teasing and wry sense of humor in one so
young as well as her ability to let go of
her innocence and take pleasure in her
sensuality make her an endearing character
while Jared’s sexual experience and
devotion to his young bride make him an
ideal husband. Ms. Wildes’ terminology and
mastery of the English language immerses
the reader into the time period. The
possessiveness and depth of emotion shared
between Patricia and Jared is
heartwarming. This story is very sweet and
it brought tears to my eyes. The Letter
is a definite must-read as is my
experience with all of Ms. Wildes’ books!" —Kerin,

5 Stars:
"The Letter contains several very
hot and amazing sexual encounters between
Jared and Patricia, but it also boasts a
truly interesting and exciting plot. The
characters are well developed; we are
privy to their thoughts which show growth
through their conversations with
confidants who are described only well
enough to show their loyalty. Jared asks
his mentor to query his own wife as to
what a woman desires most as a gift from
her husband. Patricia determines to use
her newly discovered sexual power to
ensure her husband not only falls in love
with her, but recognizes her as his
closest friend and confidant as well as
the only sexual partner he’ll ever desire.
There is intrigue in the guise of a
spurned lover from the distant past
determined to do away with Patricia. When
the result changes Jared in the most
delightful ways, his new attitude and
actions cause the plot to develop in the
most delightful ways also. The storyline
is clever and enticing, very well written,
with sex scenes that are interesting as
well as arousing, making The Letter
a book that stands out far above the rest
and a pleasure to read." —Karen Haas,
Just Erotic Romance Reviews
4.5 Blue Ribbons:
"With her captivating prose, Emma
Wildes intimately describes the sensual
awakening of Patricia, Duchess of
Tellbourne. Though for Jared’s part,
nothing can quite prepare him for the
overwhelming pleasure that he gains form
tutoring his wife. It would seem at times,
that both our heroine and hero are being
awoken to new experiences and intimacies.
However, as the Duke and Duchess revel in
their newly found passions, a dark specter
looms over them in the form of the Duke’s
former mistress, Lady Alicia Black.
Consumed with raging jealousy, Lady Black
sets out upon a course of action that is
destined to change forever the lives of
all those involved. After reading just two
of Ms. Wildes' ebooks, I am already a huge
fan. The Letter contains a rich and
vivid style of writing, with intimate
descriptions that are the signature mark
of this talented author. Ms.Wildes draws
in the reader and almost envelopes them
with her sensually descriptive and
enormously satisfying historical tales." —Deborah,

4.5 Kisses:
"The Letter was refreshingly different from many Regency
romances I’ve read; instead of a lengthy courtship culminating in a wedding, this is the story of a married couple testing the bounds of their intimacy. Jared manages to exert his control without being overly domineering, and Patricia enjoys submission despite her spirited personality. I absolutely loved it when Jared decided to stop being a gentleman in the bedroom. Delicious! I could almost feel the heat of Patricia’s responsiveness to his creative lovemaking. Their combined sexuality burns up the pages, and I devoured the story in one sitting. The element of danger adds a nice dimension to the drama, and Emma Wildes writes it in a believable way. I’m looking forward to reading the next installment of the Reformed Rakes series."

4.5 Stars:
"Emma Wildes spins a tale of a man
who does not know he is in love with his
wife, but his path to discovery is filled
with blazing hot sex. Jared and Patricia
live in a time when enjoying sex is not
considered proper for the members of
society. When Jared teaches Patricia that
sex is more then a method of making heirs,
Patricia cannot wait to tell her best
friend about her adventures in bed.
Unfortunately, someone else over hears her
and plans to destroy the young Duchess.
Patricia is responsible for capturing the
heart of Jared Warren but another woman
feels the Duke belongs to her! Can Jared
save his wife before it is too late?"

Angels:
F.A.R. Recommended Read: "I
truly enjoyed getting to know Andrew. He
is the kind of to-die-for bad boy who has
set hearts thumping forever: sinfully
handsome, sinfully good in bed…and yet
with that redeemable heart women are
always hoping to find lurking just below
the surface! Of course it takes just the
right woman to bring out such a trait. Ms.
Wildes allows the reader the vicarious
thrill of watching Christa achieve that
status in a believable manner. In
addition, she was able to breathe life
into several secondary characters to a
rather extraordinary degree, considering
the short length of this story.
Apparently, this is the second of two in
The Reformed Rakes series by this author,
and I am willing to bet the first,
entitled The Letter, is just as
charming. I recommend this to anyone
looking for a quick, yet satisfying romp
between the sheets set in the Regency
era." —Lynn, Fallen Angel Reviews
5 Flowers:
Recommended Read: "Miss Wildes
has given her readers a gift with this gem
of a regency romance. She’s created a well
researched and vividly detailed story of
historical England, where a person’s
reputation could be made or destroyed on a
whim. The characters of Andrew and Christa
are both likable and the plot surprisingly
well developed for a book of this short
length. While the relationship between
them starts off sedately and chaste, it’s
not long before they’re married and
heating up the sheets as Andrew discovers
the hidden sexuality of his young bride.
The person behind their compromising
situation is well hidden until the end,
and the identity is a total surprise when
revealed. It’s a sign of a great author
when the reader races to the end, trying
to figure out who the villain is, and Miss
Wildes had done just that, and done it
well. I’m not a great reader of regency
romances, but I can’t recommend this
wonderful little book enough." —Pam,
My Book Cravings
5 Stars:
"Compromising Situations has
everything, a plot filled with intrigue
and romance, a sexy rakehell hero, a
beautiful innocent who eagerly grasps all
the lessons in pleasure her new husband is
delighted to teach and a crafty villain
determined to ruin it all for some
unfathomable reason secreted in dim
scandal from the past. Andrew's twin Adam,
the sixth Earl of Wenton and his
insatiable countess, Helena, are engaging
secondary characters who add to the story
in their support of the newlyweds and also
their own happily sensual relationship.
The sex scenes are especially well written
in a range of sensuality from making me
blush to waking my own hero. You can't go
wrong with a book from Emma Wildes'
Reformed Rakes series; they are a
guaranteed satisfying read." —Karen

4.5 Kisses:
"Emma Wildes delivers an enjoyable mystery
with likeable main characters and a plot
that is well-developed despite the short
length of the book. I like that they don't
fight against being thrown together,
despite the fact that it wasn't their
idea. Even though they don't know each
other very well, they seem to recognize
what a good thing they've found in each
other. Their chemistry clicks, drawing the
reader into a tale of delectable passion
and love. Once again, I'm looking forward
to the next part of this wonderful
series." —Lindy,

"Emma Wildes brings the readers a story of
historical England, where reputations are
important enough to destroy lives. Christa
and Andrew wed after they are found in a

circumstances that compelled them to
marry, Christa and Andrew discover a love
that burns off the pages of this book.
When someone sends threatening notes to

that someone still wants to cause trouble.
Can Andrew discover who is behind the
original notes that placed them in a
compromising situation before that person
destroys their new happiness?" —Candy,

5 Blue Ribbons: "Emma Wildes
writes brilliant historical storylines
that promise to captivate readers. A
Woman Seduced is the third book in the
Reformed Rakes series and I
absolutely loved everything about the
storyline. Shannon’s plight especially
drew me into this tale. She’s basically at
the mercy of her irresponsible brother and
risks everything to be with Devlin. Devlin
has a reputation as a rake, but his
feelings for Shannon go far beyond simple
sexual attraction. I highly recommend this
story and if you haven’t read the other
books in the series then don’t worry. A
Woman Seduced can be read as a stand
alone, but you’ll probably want to pick up
the other books as well." —Chrissy

5 Stars: “A poor woman is
taken care of by a renown lover...
This is steamy. Lord Viscount mistakes Shannon
Cates as a prostitute. She goes along with
it to obtain the watch she was trying to
steal. She discovers that he truly is a
polished lover. He takes her as his lover,
and he falls in love with her.
Anything by Emma Wildes is guaranteed to sizzle. Do not

5 Angels: "I loved A
Woman Seduced. It is a wonderful and
skilled combination of erotica and
romance. The sex is hot but believable.
Nothing too crazy for a widow newly
introduced to the erotic arts. The sex
scenes also show the reader the buildup of
trust and tender feelings between the two
lovers. Emma Wildes intersperses 'real
life' with the bedroom scenes and I
believed this couple interested each other
mentally as well as physically." —Kimber,
